Sites Storage Space

Sites Storage Space for Standard version - Learn More | Google Groups

Currently if you'd like more storage for your Google Sites users is to
upgrade to our Premier Edition or Education Edition (only for
qualified schools and U.S. non-profits with 501c3 status).

The total space limit for storing files is 10GB PLUS 500 MBs per each
users, for Google Apps Premier and Education Editions. So for example,
a customer with 50 users in the Premier edition, will have 10GB + (500
* 50MB) = 35GB of file storage.

Forwarding Google purchased (GoDaddy) to sites page

From what I understand, you purchased your domain name from Google while signing up for GApps. You'll need to make some dns/Forwarding modifications. Log into the GoDaddy Domain Control Panel through the GApps Advanced DNS Settings (Dashboard: domain names -> DNS link).

Once logged into GoDaddy, click on your domain name. While on this first page, click on Forward:Enable forwarding. Pick 301 or 302. In the box type http://sites.google.com/a/mydomain.com/sitename/Home (use the same url you see when you clicked on Go to my home page. It might not show the Home, that's OK. Click on the Masking tab and Enable it. You don't need to put anything into the boxes. This will keep http://mydomain.com in the browser address box instead of the long sites.google.com... address.

Now click on the Total DNS Control and MX Records. Make these changes: remove the 3 A records that point to Google servers. These will typically have the following IP addresses in the record: 64.233.179.121, 66.249.81.121, and 72.14.207.121. add the following A record:@ pointing to 64.202.189.170 with a 1 hour TTL.

Change the CNAME for www. Point to @ instead of ghs.google.com. Back in the GApps control panel, you will need to click on Web pages in the Dashboard and under the custom url, check the default setting.

WAIT for up to 48 hours for the dns and Forwarding changes to propagate to necessary servers around the world.

dig Tool

Run on Unix

The simple syntax:dig @server domain query-type

server - Server being queried. May be either a domain name or an IP address. If this optional field is omitted, dig will attempt to use the default name server for your machine. @ does not need to be used when server is in the second position after the command dig. This server could be a nameserver. It can be useful to see if both nameservers give the same MX records.

domain - The domain name for which you are requesting information. To use IP in this position, use the switch -x, ex.: dig argus.more.net -x 150.199.101.1

query-type is the type of information (DNS query type) that you are requesting. If omitted, the default is ``a'' (T_A = address). The standard specified types are recognized: a, any, cname, mx, na, soa.

Example: Assume that ns2.com is the secondary nameserver. It should give the same results as the primary nameserver when a dig is done.

dig ns1.com mydomain.com mx
dig ns2.com mydomain.com mx

Not recieving all email - Fix A Problem | Google Groups

Original question:
Hi,For our domain, malkovitch.se some users are not getting emails fromcertain senders in google apps email. They get mails from everyone who
sends from the same domain and of course a lot of spam but certain
mails from certain senders seem never to come from or take several
days before they get them.

From Angela

There are a few reasons why messages may not appear in your inbox. If
you send messages to a mailing list, a nickname, or to an address that
is automatically forwarding to your account, the messages won't appear
in your inbox - a copy will be available in your ‘Sent Mail’ label.

Filters, auto-forwarding, and ‘Reply-to:’ addresses can also affect
message delivery to your inbox. If you are using a custom 'From:'
address to send mail, make sure you've designated your email address
at your domain as the 'Reply-to:' address. Click 'Settings' at the top
of your email account to check.

Check Trash, Spam, and All Mail for the messages in question. In order
to avoid duplicates, Gmail doesn't download copies of messages sent
from within your client. However, these messages will appear in the
inbox of your web Gmail.

If you're still unable to find the messages, please ask the sender for
the full headers, and include them in a response to this message.

Please copy and paste the contents of the new browser window into your
reply. If you don't wish to include the text of the affected message,
simply delete the body of the email from the above information. But,

Site Access - Domain 2 to Domain 1

From thread: http://tinyurl.com/38hkxv

Just as an addendum to this topic, you can share across hosted domains in a similar way as described above.
http://sites.google.com/a/domainname1.com/e/domainname2.com/SiteName/Home
In this URL, note that domainname1.com is the site that the user is logged in to.
domainname2.com is the hosted domain that you wish to give them access to, with the Google Site Name (SiteName) appended to the URL. I think '/Home' is optional.

Private xml/iCal/html links

http://www.google.com/support/a/users/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=37106

Your calendar's "Private Address" in XML or iCAL format lets you easily view a read-only version of your calendar from other applications -- like a feed reader (e.g. Google Reader) or a product that supports the iCal format (e.g. iCal for Mac). Your calendar's "Private Address" in HTML format lets you view a read-only version of your calendar without signing in to your calendar account.
