List Common Verification Prob - for user
Here's a list of common reasons for why verification might fail. Some will not apply to you, I've just included the complete list:
1) It can take up to 48 hours for dns changes to propagate to all necessary servers.
2) An error was made in copying the unique string or in following the instructions.
3) The domain name was purchased from Google so no verification is needed.
4) Health of domain server. Keeps timing out?
6) Used one of these THREE methods of verification? Special CNAME, special html file uploaded. MX records set to point to Google servers.http://www.google.com/support/a/bin/answer.py?answer=45694&topic=9196
7) Didn't realize that verification has been completed: see Active next to most applications on Dashboard, e.g. calendar
8) Using 3rd party nameservers but making dns changes on domain host servers
9) The domain has been forwarded and possibly masked.

Generic Website Access instructions
First set up http://www.mydomain.com/ (url shortcut):To do so, see this Help page. In the example, click on Web Pages in the Services Settings drop-down menu, and type www into the box instead of mail as shown.https://www.google.com/support/a/bin/answer.py?answer=53340&query=custom+url&topic=&type=
Next you will want to forward mydomain.com to http://www.mydomain.com/. This will vary from domain host to domain host. GoDaddy has a forward link which shows as you go into the domain controls. eNom adds a record with a url redirect.
If you purchased your domain name from Google while signing up, remove the 3 A records that point to Google servers. These will typically have the following IP addresses in the record: 64.233.179.121, 66.249.81.121, and 72.14.207.121.
If you have GoDaddy and you purchased your domain name from Google, add the following A record:@ pointing to 64.202.189.170 with a 1 hour TTL.
Wait 24 to 48 hours for the dns changes to propagate to necessary servers around the world.
Disclaimer: Removing of A records configured by Google is non-standard. GApps seem to work fine without them although something could break in the future so document the removed records.

Verification - Things to check
Here are the most common reasons for having verification issues. They apply to over 99% of the issues:
1) It can take up to 48 hours for dns changes to propagate to all necessary servers.
2) An error was made in copying the unique string or in following the instructions.
3) The domain name was purchased from Google so no verification is needed.
4) Health of domain server. Keeps timing out?
5) Check the string if possible, e.g. URL http://mydomain.com/googlehostedservice.html
6) Check to see if they know about all 3 types of verification
7) Know how to tell if verification complete, e.g. Active next to calendar on Dashboard.
8) Using 3rd party nameservers but making dns changes on domain host servers
9) The domain has been forwarded. Has been masked.
10) Ask for a screenshot of the service host control panel. Make sure there is no CNAME pointing mydomain.com to ghs.google.com.

Adding a Favicon
You can add a favicon in the head section by using the edit html
link at the bottom right. I use Irfanview, http://irfanview.downloadcenterz.com/,
to make a favicon, 16x16 pixels, save as icon. Upload the icon and use
this code in the head section. lt-sign link rel="SHORTCUT ICON"type="image/x-
icon"href="http://www.yourfaviconurlhere.ico" gt-sign. The blog won't allow me to put in the lt sign (<) or gt sign(>)

Calendar Problem - Unable to share calendar with individual
If a calendar is shared with all domain members and some individuals can not see it, the following steps may help:
1. For the individual sharing the calendar, go to the calendar's Settings page and remove the email address of the individual who can not see the calendar (Click on the wastepaper basket)
2. Save the Settings
3. Re-enter the user's email address with the desired access settings and save the settings.
The individual with the viewing problem should now be able to login and see the calendar.
