There have been some difficulties in forwarding mydomain.com to www.mydomain.com when mydomain.com was purchased from Google. GoDaddy has suggested the following steps which work.
Disclaimer: Removing of A records configured by Google is non-standard. GApps seem to work fine without them although something could break in the future so document the removed records.
1) Log into the GApps control panel and navigate to Domain Settings then to the Domain Names page. Click on Advanced DNS settings and log into the GoDaddy control panel.Within the GoDaddy control panel, click on the link to your domain.
2) Click 'Set Name servers' from the menu and make sure the Default Parked Nameservers are selected. If not, select them, and Save Changes. It will take 24 to 48 hours for any changes to be
propagated to all servers.
3) Click on the link for Forwarding. Select Enabled and in the Forward To: field type http://www.mydomain.com. (No dot on the end). Click either 301
(Moved Permanently) or 302 (Moved Temporarily). Do not use masking. Click OK.
4) Click on the link: Total DNS Control and MX Records. You will remove the three A records pointing to Google servers (typically: 64.233.179.121, 66.249.81.121, and 72.14.207.121). Please record any A records you change. Now add an A record: @ pointing to 64.202.189.170 with a 1 hour TTL.
5) Wait 24 to 48 hours for all changes to propagate. http://mydomain.com will now take you to the home page of your website that you
created with Page Creator.
